The Blues Song
Hahaha!
I count sheep at night, I can't sleep at night
Thinking about you, ooh, ooh
Oh, the days are gone, I still go on
Thinking about you, oh oh!
So when you're down and out
Don't cry around, cry around
And that's why I'm singing the blues song, yeah
So when you're down and out
Don't cry around
Just sing, just sing the blues song
Just sing, just sing the blues song
You know I'm singing the song, and I've been away too long
And I need the way to say, the way to say so long!
So when you're down and out
Don't cry around
Sing, just sing the blues song, ooh!
Just sing, just sing the blues song
Words and music by Peter Forrest

Song Notes: This song was the first blues song ever written
by Peter Forrest at the age of 17 years old. It is
interesting because it doesn't quite follow the standard blues
patterns and has a few side parts. The second bridge was
added much latter in Montreal to extend the song. This song was
part of the first Vee Gates Montreal demo.
