Welcome to Veronica Charnley's official website. You will find lots
of information about her music and ongoing projects.
Veronica Charnley recorded her debut
12-song CD Deeper
Still at Distortion Studios in Ottawa, Canada back in 2001. Her songs
were
a crossover of the folk and pop genres. The CD included mostly voice,
acoustic guitar, and upright bass arrangements of her original songs that
she had performed live with the stand-up jazz bassist Gerg
Horvath. Other
pieces on the CD explored her songwriting talents with a string
quartet, cello, drums, piano, and an East Indian percussion called
the tabla.
Veronica composed all songs including one
special piece in which she used text from the poem Sara at Domos,
written by the acclaimed Canadian poet Todd Swift
in her string quartet
composition called Tinfoil Ring.
