Peter Forrest in Gatineau, Québec |
An Introduction Welcome to my
homepage. My name is Peter Forrest, or more often Pete Forrest, Petey
Forrest, Peter
Forrest-Lindquist, Pedro Bosque, PF, PFL, PF Levasseur and just Levasseur.
I've taken on a lot of noms de plume. I live in
Ottawa,
Canada at
Billings
Bridge beside the
Billings Estate. I maintain this page about myself so old friends, new friends, as well as family can keep tabs on my funny life. |

Friends (I still have a few who haven't disowned me yet): Save me from my friends, Voltaire said! I have some good ones, ya know and they are even online for your amusement... If you're an old friend of mine and you want to be included here, email me and I'll add YA! hehe!

Schmelvis (aka Dan Hartal) - The Jewish Elvis and one my best friends since the late 1980s when we played in a band together in Montreal. He was in a funny documentary: Schmelvis - Searching for the King's Jewish Roots. In honor of his success, we each did 10 le chaims of Canadian whiskey in his basement one night. His mother-in-law yelled down from above, "You guys seem to be having a whale of a good time!" Man, was I ever a schlepper the next morning with a whale of a hangover! hehehe Dan and his family are my second family!

Todd Swift - Canada's leading poet and he also happens to be one of my best friends since the early Montréal days. He is currently living in London, England with his wife Sara from Blackrock, Ireland. Did you know that Todd's dad almost recorded the song MY WAY before Frank Sinatra?

Jon Cash (the guy on the right with the red shirt) is one of my oldest and best friends who is truly Mr. Personality living a life of leisure now in Nottingham, England. He is a massive opera fan (not in weight!) and undiscovered music critic. We started a band together in high school when we were seventeen back in 1983 and success followed! Yeah, right! No wonder he had to leave Canada and get back to England! hehehe! Dare to ask him what ever happened to "the baby blue bass guitar?"
Sophie Ramirez (la hija) |
Carlos Alberto Ramirez-Gomez ("the cleaner") - need I say more? Sorry, he recently took his site offline... but he's been a good friend in this city for many years. Still, this UNIX guru from Bogotá, Colombia takes pride in his refined tastes for red wine, Rachmaninoff, and Kafka. Best to stay on his good side! Don't make any jokes about him not having his BMW anymore! ;-) He is now married to a female comedian named Andrea Jensen!!! No joke!!! They just had a baby girl called Sophie! Dig that hat, hombre!

Trent "Captain Punk" Rogers - he doesn't exactly have a webpage or *even* a computer for that matter but his heart has always been in the right place. Meet my oldest friend whom I've known since 9-years-old who now owns Sarnia's comic store Future Pastimes. There is something to be said about that... everyone likes Trent. He lives in my hometown of Sarnia, Ontario Canada. My friend Trent and I were using the "Gold Bug code" in Grade 8 to pass notes between each other!!! Talk about rebels a la Poe! hehehe

Dan Schwartz (Danny-boy Schwartz) - friend and former drummer for our band the Vee Gates. He now lives in Toronto and got me to stay at the hip Drake Hotel when I visited in May 2005. We downed some good Napoleon brandy in my suite at the Drake and went to see a band "he had recently gotten kicked out of!" hehe His cousin is the drummer in The Sadies. Dan is now the drummer in The Key Frames.

Sascha Sass - a German/Spanish
comedian friend of mine from Cologne whom I've known for the last few years
over the internet. He got on my good side right away by sending me a
Spanish version of Edgar Allan Poe's The Raven. He's a blast
and he'll tell you everything he can about his mother's home town in Spain called
El Poyo. Ask him about Alborada - a drunken binge where you
make as much noise as possible and go knocking on everyone's door early in
the morning! There's even the de facto Spanish bagpipe player included
in the revelry! If you don't believe me,
here's proof! hehe If you can understand German, check out his youtube clips! If you don't understand German, fake it and listen anyway! hehe |
