Hal Ingberg's "la cathédrale en verre"

I love this glass sculpture that I call "la cathédrale en verre" (a rainbow coloured glass cathedral).  It is located in the Old Hull, Québec at the corner of Maisonneuve and Allumettières.  I will put one of my ukulele compositions to it.

I also work nearby so I can easily get to it at lunch!  Quel plaisir!

Earthquakes, heatwaves, and now Radio Canada gets into ukuleles...  teehee

I survived them all in Ottawa, but that was not enough excitement.

The Radio Canada show "Divines Tentations" interviewed me in French about the ukulele on July 24.  You can listen to the podcast of the show online if you can understand French.

It was called "La réinsertion sociale du ukulélé." Une discussion avec les musiciens Peter Forrest, Pépé et Matt Laurent. (24 juillet 2010)

Thanks to the Ukulele Club de Montréal for recommending me for the show.

cheerio!

Happy St-Jean Baptiste to Quebecers (and all Finns)!

I survived the Gatineau/Ottawa earthquake on Wednesday afternoon.  It was scary, let me tell you.  I was at work at Portage Phase IV when it hit.  We cleared out and learned of the aftermath later.  All's well that end's well.   hehe

I finally did a video of one of my original French songs from my trip to Northern France in 2008.   It's called LILLE.

Ye Olde Trip to Nottingham...

I finally recorded an original ukulele song about Nottingham and a dusty galleon that lies within.   Enjoy!  hehe
